This 4.5 mile circular walk explores the ancient settlement, with its eponymous double river crossing across the River Loddon. After a short walk through the village, most of the route is along peaceful green lakeside/river paths in the Loddon Nature Reserve. Lunch break at a country pub, the Heron on the Ford, with nearby picnic facilities. Possibility of mud after rain - wear suitable shoes. Toilets at start and end. Should finish by about 15.30
