Overview

11 mile walk from Disley railway station.
The route will take us up Ring O' Bells Lane towards Bollinhurst Reservoir and Millenium Wood to the ridge at Black Rocks, Higher Disley. From here we descend to the A6 which we cross to reach The Peak Forest Canal and take the towpath east. This will go through the outskirts of New Mills to Furness Vale Marina where we exit the canal and re-cross the A6. We now climb up and across Whaley Moor to enter Lyme Park and Lantern Wood. We then return (passing toilets) via Lyme Cage and Red Lane back to the station car park.
