Overview

The walk takes us down to the Rochdale canal tow path which we follow before branching off along country lanes (rough surfaces) in the direction of Chadderton Fold. On reaching the park we leave the path to take a pleasant wander through the woods at Chadderton Park and along the side of the River Irk. Finally we climb the stairs which take us back to the canal and a short walk back to our exit from the path at the Rose of Lancaster and our meeting point.
