Overview

The walk starts at Queen's Wood car park and follows forest roads towards Gorsley, then passes through Hay Wood, alongside Betty Daw's Wood and into Dymock Wood. From Kempley the route is on the Three Choirs Way to St Mary's Church, then returning via the Daffodil Way.

3:30 pm
Difficulty:
Moderate
Distance:
16.1km / 10.0mi

76.2m / 250ft

The total walk is 10 miles but anyone wishing only to do a 5.5 mile walk can cut out easily at Kempley and return to the cars while the rest of us walk the extra 4.5 miles.

The woodland car park can fill early with dog walkers but there is plenty of roadside parking. As I will not be travelling to Wilton Road car park I leave everyone to arrange their own lifts and car sharing.

No dogs please.

Please bring water and a packed lunch.
