Overview

A brisk pace 12m circular walk with several gradients, a total ascent of 1,673 ft. Over Pitch Hill and Holmbury Hills then south through the villages on the Weald and back. The fine views and green forest and meadows make all the ups and downs hills worth it. In the summer flowers and butterflies abundant. We pass through Forest Green. Ewhurst and return up Jelly’s Hollow.

There are 7 stiles, it maybe be muddy especially, after rain. Some gravelly paths which could be slippery if wet.

Coffee stop with views. Bring a picnic for stop nr Forest Green. Boots and poles reccomended!!! No toilet facilities ( only bushes ) Optional cafe of your choice at end.

Hurtwood CP 4 on Greensand Lane between Ewhurst Windmill and Reynard Hill. Turn off A25 at Sandy Lane / Hound House Rd junction going south turn right into Barhatch Rd. And, right again at junction with Winterfold Rd there is the CP.
