Overview

A 6-mile undulating walk from the Hurtwood Car Park 2 (Walking Bottom) in Peaslake with 277m of ascent. The walk will predominantly be on forest tracks and paths through Hurt Wood.  We will head east from the car park through Peaslake and having passed the Holmbury Youth Hostel we then turn south and join the Greensand Way before reaching Holmbury Hill where we will have our break.  Once refreshed and having enjoyed the views we then continue westwards on the Greensand Way passing through the Duke of Kent School and up steep steps towards Pitch Hill before turning north to return to the start point. The route includes a few stiles.
