Overview

The walk will give wonderful views of the North Downs and the Greensand Hills. Starting at the very scenic Newlands Corner, we will visit Shere, Little London, Blackheath, Chilworth gunpowder works and St Martha's Church. Walking through woods, heathland and villages.

Good conditions underfoot, though there may be some mud after the recent rains. Some steep ascents towards the end of the walk - St Martha's from Chilworth Manor. Steep descent of Silent Pool track to Shere. Poles recommended. Bring a picnic lunch. Optional cafe at the end.
