Overview

Starting at the Heather Farm Cafe and Wetlands Centre the paths lead through Bourne meadows and fields to Fairoaks Airfield. The walking route then passes the end of the runway and into McLaren Park. Then past the martian sandpit through the common and farmland to return to the cafe and car park.  

There are no hills on this walk.

There is a large free car park to the left of the cafe and Wetlands Centre. 

The cafe serves a wide range of food and drink and has indoor and outdoor seating.

There is a dog washing facility and a couple of hides for bird watching .
