Overview

A longer, more challenging Wednesday walk. A figure of 8 based on the main cafe & car park. Join for the whole walk of 12 miles or the morning of 7 miles, 1200ft ascent and/or the afternoon of 5 miles, 1100 ft ascent. The morning route dips into the Punch Bowl several times but also ascends to Gibbet Hill and Sugarloaf Hill. The afternoon descends to Creedhole Farm, ascends to High Button and visits Keffold's Copse, Polecat Valley and ascending to Tyndalls Estate. Lots of ups and downs but nothing major. Some short, steep sections. May be some muddy sections.

Bring a picnic. Though refreshments are available at the NT cafe at the lunch stop, those completing the whole walk will not be stopping very long. The cafe will be enjoyed at the end of the walk.

Main car park NT Hindhead Punch Bowl. South on A3 from Guildford. After tunnel left to Hindhead, follow the NT signs. Members park free, non-members a charge applies.
