Starting at the railway station, the initial part of the walk visits the historic west side of Llantwit Major including St. Iltud's church which is considered to be the site of the oldest college in the world - certainly in the UK. We'll then head west across country before turning south through a glacial valley towards the Glamorgan Heritage Coast. Walking east along the stunning cliffs to Cwm Colhuw beach, we'll stop for a lunch-break at the beach cafe and then continue along the coastal path to an ancient hill fort and finally looping back through the countryside to Llantwit.
Meet at 10:25 Llantwit Major railway station (free) car park (Postcode CF61 1UP). Direct hourly trains from Cardiff Barry and Bridgend (departs Cardiff Central at 09:39).
