PLEASE NOTE NEW TRAIN DETAILS
This walk is an adapted Hope Pilgrimage Way, suitable for wintertime walking. During the walk we are going to pass by a number of churches in Hope and Castleton.
There is an area which could be very muddy and slippery. In very bad weather we may move part of the walk on to paved roads.
The route includes a steady ascent up to Hollins Cross, so a good degree of fitness is required. Other sections of the route are fairly easy and mostly on grassland. The views throughout this walk are magnificent.
Train-based walk
Leader: Annie
Ascent: 400 metres

Due to engineering work, the train will be diverted and will only call at Stockport, Chinley and Edale en route. It will not call at Reddish North, Brinnington, Bredbury, Romiley, Marple or New Mills Central.
