Overview

The route follows a riverside path to Castleton from where we follow the narrow limestone gorge of Cave Dale uphill to the pastures above the village. Various tracks then take us towards the summit of Mam Tor. We descend to the ancient crossing point at Hollins Cross before going up Back Tor and onwards to the summit of Lose Hill. The walk finishes by descending through fields back to Hope.
