Overview

We will meet at Chudleigh car park, just past the Co-op store (onstreet parking is possible but may require a walk to the start point). There will be a variety of footpaths, bridleways and country lanes taking us alongside the Teign and the old railway line, across fields and through woods and peaceful villages. After Lower Ashton, we will climb to Higher Ashton, whose Church is a gem. I will try to ensure that we are able to go inside to see the Rood Screen.

Trusham is another attractive hillside village on the way back to Chudleigh.

Moderate walk with some Devon steep sections.
