Overview

This walk wanders through fields to Bank Foot and a stiff climb to the Cleveland Way, where you can expect extensive views to compensate.

we return via an engineering masterpiece, The Incline railway Line, now disused but still a landmark, then onwards through pleasant field pathson our return to Ingleby Greenhow where we will take refreshments.

 There will be a few stiles, all sound, and generally good paths.

The climb is testing but provides viewpoints as we progress.

There is a small dale with a stream and bridge as we traverse the fields on our return.

we will take lunch at the top of the incline where the history of the incline is recorded.
