Overview

A beautiful walk with far reaching views and a mix of open and enclosed paths. Wild flower meadows and orchids. We head West from Loosely Row along the Ridgeway path and cross the busy A4010 with care. We head across open fields and reach the railway line which again we cross carefully before heading down the Risborough golf course on an enclosed path which will keep us safe from any stray golf balls. We then head up Lodge Hill. The first area of 100 yards or so may have grazing cattle so we will be wary here. We then head uphill and will stop at the top for our lunchbreak. Bring a mat or blanket as there is one bench and some rough patchy grass. The views are amazing. There is a long descent and poles may be useful. We then head towards Saunderton across fields, and up the road to cross the A4010 once again. We have a stretch on a narrow quiet lane and then up along the wild flower meadows where wild orchids can be found. Our way across the top of the ridge gives again amazing views and we return to our start point. There are 2 stiles. Unfortunately, the Whip Inn has closed down. We can drive up Pink Road to the Pink and Lily PH at Parslows Hillock for post walk refreshments if desired.
