Where: Top of Barrack Hill just off Main Road, HP18 0DU
Starting point: Barrack Hill has a blue sign where it meets Main Road which says unsuitable for heavy goods vehicles. (Not to be confused with another identical sign at the top of Cannon Hill toward Ashendon)
Park in or in front of the layby on the right, before an opening to a field about 100M down the road (from Main Road), it takes 4 cars and the flat grass verge before it another 20 cars or so. There are 30mph limit signs for Nether Winchendon beyond the layby.

A leisurely walk taking in beautiful rolling hillsides with splendid views, criss-crossing the River Thame via various bridges. We visit the 2 quintessentially charming West Buckinghamshire villages of sleepy Nether Winchendon and Cuddington with views of their Plantagenete era churches.
We'll have a mid-way stop at the delightful 15th Century The Crown public house at Cuddington.
On the way back we'll get a glimpse of part of the Grade 1 listed Medieval and Tudor Nether Winchendon House which was altered in the 18th C in a unique Strawberry Hill Gothick style. It is now a popular and prestigious wedding venue.
There are a few stiles and a moderate ascent near the end.
Well behaved dogs are allowed.
