Overview

A lovely autumn walk through Dalby Forest, which is predominantly downhill all the way. The walk starts at the Hole of Horcum (with hopefully clear views over the moors and valleys, before a descent to the Forest with great views of Blakey Topping, before passing the Bridestones. After a steep descent to the valley below there follows a great Forest walk, passing the Dalby Forest Visitor centre , Low Dalby, Ellerburn and a pretty riverside walk into Thornton-le Dale.

There is one steep descent and following a wet spell, some of the paths may be muddy.
