A lovely autumn walk through Dalby Forest, which is predominantly downhill all the way. The walk starts at the Hole of Horcum (with hopefully clear views over the moors and valleys and great views of Blakey Topping) before our coffee stop at the Bridestones. After a steep descent to the valley below there follows a great Forest walk, with a lunch stop at the Dalby Forest Visitor centre. The route continues to Low Dalby, Ellerburn and the pretty riverside walk into Thornton-le Dale.
There is one very steep descent and following a wet spell, some of the paths may be muddy.
