Starting from The Bakehouse - York cafe at Mill Green Farm, this walk will initially follow the Millennium Trail south west to Crayke village, close to the castle and church, then heading north west towards Oulston . Here we turn east passing the reservoir and where the River Foss rises. Turning south, we skirt Yearsley village, downhill to Peel Park and Cherry Hill farms. Then it is west to Beckfield House where we turn onto The Foss Walk trail following it back to The Bakehouse cafe.

This walk will use field edge and cross field paths; farm and woodland tracks with a very short section of road. Some of the fields may be squelchy and paths muddy in the event of heavy rain. A couple of ascents and descents with poles being useful.
NB: Parking area at The Bakehouse is furthest from the buildings - If possible car share. Numbers will be taken at the start of the walk for refreshments in The Bakehouse cafe afterwards.
For those not staying, a voluntary nominal charge for parking will be sought.
