The Meirionnydd Ramblers are a friendly and welcoming group. We offer regular and varied walks in the wonderful countryside in and around southern Snowdonia.
A walk through the woods and forests above Llanelltyd. Our route heads through the village to take a track leading uphill through partially felled forestry. Turning on to a smaller path, we drop down into Cwm yr Whin where we cross the lane and continue on the other side, over a footbridge and up to another forest path. We follow this for some distance, passing a few mining adits on our way down and soon reaching a forestry track. After a short stretch along the track, we head back uphill, quite steeply at times, to reach the New Precipice Walk. This we follow, descending to Llyn Tan-y-graig and thence back down to the start.
