Overview

This walk starts with a visit to the village of Pentrich which gave its name to an armed uprising in 1817. The route then proceeds to Sawmills along the banks of the Cromford canal and past a gauging station. Then onto Heage via the local windmill. The return passes through Upper Hartsay and along the canal again.
