We are the East Cheshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Due to the forecast and potential difficulties getting to the meeting point, an alternative walk is being offered.
Please meet at Nelson Pit CP, Higher Poynton at 9.30am. Parking spaces may also be available on adjacent roads. Toilets available at the car park.
This 11 mile (approx) walk will be a figure of eight going into Lyme Park, up to Bowstones past The Cage and returning via West Park Gate and along the canal.
The proposed route: Nelson Pit CP - Middlewood Way - Ladybrook Valley - Barlow House Farm - Platt Wood Farm - Lyme Park - The Cage - Bollinhurst Reservoir - Dissop Head - Bowstones - Lyme Park - West Park Gate - Green Farm - Macclesfield Canal - Nelson Pit CP.
Please bring lunch and snacks for morning and afternoon breaks. Poles recommended. No dogs.
