Pleasant walk visiting Flatford Mill after lunch at Dedham, with time to visit the John Constable museum and see the place where he had the inspiration for his famous Hay Wain painting.
Lunch will be at The Sun Inn, Dedham. If you wish to have a pub lunch please email me a week beforehand. There are also Church grounds for a picnic lunch, a couple of nice cafés and The Marlborough pub. Tea maybe at Flatford Mill and/or Manningtree Station Buffet at end.
Booking for this walk is required by email and limited to 25 attendees only.
Walk can be muddy in places after rain and there are three stiles.
Please take the 09:30 train from London Liverpool Street station to Manningtree, arriving at 10:25. Buy a day return to Manningtree.
A hilly start to the walk but an otherwise flat walk.
Manningtree Station - meet by the ticket barriers or outside the entrance.
