Unfortunately, the pub cannot take any more than the current number, and also it would not be safe to have any more on the walk.
After leaving the Plough in Itchen Abbas, we follow the St. James Way along footpaths and through fields, and past Martyr Worthy. The route then crosses the Itchen over a lovely old wooden bridge, skirts Easton, and then turns north until it reaches part of the Watercress Way along the disused railway. It then makes a loop along a footpath before returning to Itchen Abbas and the Plough.
The walk is mostly on firm paths, and there are no stiles.
We are keeping our fingers crossed that the dreadful weather we have had may abate, even temporarily!
The pub will be open from 9.45am to use the facilities and order lunch, and we will leave at 10.15am.
