Overview

We meet at the Main Viewpoint on St Giles Hill and make our way across the Spitfire Bridge for a walk taking in much of the Magdalen Down Butterfly Reserve. We descend and cross the busy A31 and join the country lane that is part of the South Downs Way cycle route then head to Chilcomb and its delightful St Andrew’s Church.  We then follow the Five Fields route back to Winchester much of which is along the South Downs Way for walkers.
