Overview

Matlock - Heights Of Abraham - Bonsall - Uppertown - Luntor Rocks - Winster - Clough Wood - Oldfield Lane - Oaker - Matlock

There are a number of uphill sections on the walk with the steepest climb at the very beginning. We have plenty of time so these will be taken at a leisurely pace as we need to stop and take in the views, which are extensive at times, especially before lunch.

We follow decent paths/tracks on the route as we dip in and out of The Limestone Way in the morning before returning into Matlock on The Derwent Valley Heritage Way.
