Overview

This walk enables us to enjoy the diverse views of the countryside around the city of Newport. Showcasing the canal with its wildlife and the 14 locks system which was constructed at the end of the 18th century, views of the Welsh hills from “little Switzerland” and the woodland of Mescoed Mawr. On the walk there are 5 stiles (2 can be avoided) and 7 gates. A small amount of mud if we experience heavy rainfall in the days before the walk.
