Mynydd Du Forest, Crug Mawr and The Gader Ridge

From the start point we ascend gradually through the forest on a broad forest track before climbing to attain the Gader Ridge.  We then walk along the open hillside until we attain the 550 metre trig point on Crug Mawr where, weather conditions permitting, we will enjoy magnificent views of a long distance walk known locally as the Llanbedr Horseshoe .  We then descend on the Beacons Way before re-entering the forest for the return to the start point where mince pies will be available.
