Overview

A circular walk from Newbridge station to Mynydd Maen Common via woods, forestry & moorland. Leaving Newbridge we climb through Coed yr Ellyn and Coed Poeth alongside the Nant Hafod-fach & Hafod Sandstone quarry to reach Mynydd Maen Common. A contouring path through the forestry then leads us to the moorland for extensive westerly views (on a clear day). We then return crossing the moorland & common to a path through & above Coed Cil-lonydd to descend back to the car park.
