Parking: There is usually plenty of free parking by the canal on the other side of the road to the pub. Note: parking in front of the Navigation Inn is Pay & Display (£5 all day, free for customers who sign in at the bar) Distance: 11.5 miles Cumulative Ascent: 2340 feet (OutdoorActive). Moderate-Strenuous Route is figure of 8: Navigation Inn – Eccles Pike – Whitehough – Cracken Edge – Hills Farm – Peep o Day – South Head – Beet Farm – Hull End – Moseley House –-Brierley Green- Navigation Inn. Depending on weather or inclination there are alternative routes over or around both Eccles Pike and South Head. Bring lunch and drinks for stops. No dogs.
