Overview

A 'spectacles' shape walk taking in Idle Hill and Hacking Knife in the west loop and Coombes Edge in the east loop. Lovely views and generally good paths and tracks. The pretty Heritage Site is worthy of a leisurely wander, but we are just starting our walk so we won't tarry long there today. Route: From Lymefield Terrace through Broadmills Heritage Site - Hodgefold - Botham's Hall - Idle Hill - Hacking Knife - Needhams Farm - Bothams Hall - Cown Edge Way towards Boarfold, then turn off east towards Woodseats - Chisworth - Moorside - Coombes Tor, Coombes Edge - Charlesworth - Tom Wood - Bankwood Gate - Lymefield Bring food and drink for the day. Sorry no dogs (lambs in fields). Lymefield Garden Centre has a nice cafe for after the walk.

Approximately 13 miles and 2200 ft cumulative ascent (Outdooractive).
