Overview

An essentially flat walk (c.580 ft overall ascent) in the Cheshire countryside using a mix of field paths and farm tracks with short road sections on Marton and Shallow Lanes. Only one style (30-plus kissing gates); care crossing A34 and A536, no dogs. Route: Hazelwall, Henshaw farm, Marton lane, Gawsworth church, Cloverbank farm, Shellow lane, Martonheath wood, Northwood farm, Siddington, Capesthorn Hall and back to Redes Mere. An easy walk but note we cross one recently ploughed field which might be muddy after recent rain.
