Overview

A walk in the hills south of the Afon Mawddach near Penmaenpool. We start by heading up the steep path through the woods behind Penmaenuchaf following the right of way through a cottage garden and on to Ty’n y Llwyn. Our route takes us over a rise and on to a zig-zag path up over a hill. (Here we may see the ponies which roam in this area.) We drop down to Waen Fechan and then continue downhill to cross over the main A493 road. Skirting around Abergwynant woods, we return to the start with an easy stroll along the Mawddach Trail, enjoying the wide views across the estuary to the Rhinogydd beyond.
