Leaving the car park by Millington Church the route ascends The Balk on the road and continues to just beyond Little Givendale Farm. A turn eastwards and then northwards, partly on field edge, partly on road, then leads to the top of Roman Road. Roman Road is followed until turning north along the top of Millington Dale then descending rapidly to the road and the back to Millington.

There is likely to be long grass overhanging the path and a few nettles but not too much mud. A walking pole is recommended for the descent into Millington Dale.

It is planned to get back to the cars before lunchtime and therefore only a snack and drinks are likely to be needed.

No dogs apart from Registered Assistance Dogs, with the permission of the leader.
