We are the Northallerton Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting from the car park entrance to the Wainstones Hotel at 10am, we walk Westwards along field paths (NB there are 6 stiles on this part of the route) to Kirby village Church. Turn left on leaving the graveyard to follow the quiet road South to the base of Toft Hill. We turn left here to follow field paths and rough tracks Eastwards to Back Lane, where we turn Northwards to follow the Lane to Maynards Nursery (just South of Great Broughton). There are then several options to walk alongside Holme Beck back to the Hotel.
The route is fairly flat on field paths, country roads and on good tracks with 7 stiles.
Parking is free either in the Hotel car park, or kerbside in the village itself.
