Overview

Start 10am from Pym Chair  car park (free)   SJ995769  (Post code unreliable!) No toilets.

Warning: the road past Lamaload reservoir off the Buxton Road is often closed. Please therefore take the B5470 from Macclesfield- Rainow  towards Whaley Bridge.
A delightfully scenic walk.
Approx. 6miles  Moderate PLUS
Route: Walk down The Street, branch off past the Spanish Shrine and descend to the ruins of Errwood Hall.
Ascend through Shooter's Clough and walk along Shooter's Ridge towards Shining Tor, at 559m the highest point in Cheshire. Slightly  downhill along the Tors, past Cats Tor and return to car park.
No pub lunch arrangements at present.
