Overview

A moderate walk using established paths in and around the Clwydian hills with an overall ascent of 2,900 ft. Magnificent views, sheep in abundance, no dogs.

Route: Plymog lane, Offa’s Dyke path, Foel Fenlli, Bwlch Penbarras, descending into the Vale of Clwyd, following the 400 m contour path below Moel y Gaer to Tyddyn Norbury, climb to Pwll-y-Rhos, Ffrith mountain, Loggerheads Country Park (toilets), crossing A494 and past the Outdoor Education Centre, Maeshafn, Big Covert Wood back to lay-by.
