Quarry Bank Mill - SHORT WALK

Start from Quarry Bank Mill car park (no charge).  Approximately 6 miles, Easy 452 ascent (OS Maps stats) Meet outside Visitor Centre. Route: Follow the Bollin South via the mill courtyard (toilets available); Lindow Moss; Morley Green Road; Altrincham Road; track next to Airport Runway (a bit of plane spotting!) and back to car park via quiet lanes. Mostly flat. I have tried to avoid most of the mud. We cross Altrincham Road twice and, due to a path closure opposite the Airport Hotel, we will need to walk down Altrincham Road for a short stretch. Bring snack and drink for coffee stop. If very windy, check to see if walk cancelled as National Trust sometimes close Styal.
