We are the Leeds Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From Roseberry topping we head east along a path by the railway line before ascending through woods to Captain Cooks Monument, to enjoy views across the North Yorkshire Moors. We then head toward Roseberry Topping for our morning break and more views. The Cleveland Way takes us above Hutton Woods to High Cliffe Woods where we get our first sight of the sea. We continue through Guisborough woods to Skelton and descend through woods to reach Saltburn. (Tea shop around 4 miles before the end of the walk. TBC) 2,750 ft of ascent.
We should arrive at Saltburn by 5.30 pm, we will then have fish and chips on the seafront. Our return transport will be booked for 6.30 pm taking approximately 20 minutes to return to our cars at Roseberry Topping.
