Overview

We had a lovely day on 9th June in the Peak District, with varied walks from Baslow to Bakewell, followed by dinner in Hathersage. Next, we are going North on 15th September to lower Swaledale, where some of the walks will go from Richmond to Reeth. This time, we can offer an extra pick-up from Wetherby if there is demand. If you would like to book a place on the coach, please e-mail me:

coachrambles.sally@gmail.com

The first pick up point will be Bradford at 8.30 am, then Thornbury at 8.45 and Leeds (9.00). The extra pick-up from Wetherby will be at about 9.30, depending on traffic.  The cost for the coach will be in the region of £16, payable in advance.

With thanks to Sian Dodderidge, she has booked the Buck pub in Reeth at 5pm where we will have a choice of Cumberland Sausage, meat or vege chili, pies (including veggie option), chips, peas and gravy. I will get back in touch with the usual payment details, when we receive precise details of their menu.

As usual, we like to offer 3 walks of different levels, to suit as many members as possible. We have volunteers to lead the usual A, A+, and B walks.

Please also put the dates in your diary for our last trip this year, and provisional dates for 2025:

8th December walks in the settle area followed by Christmas dinner. Quiz and raffle at our usual venue, the Gamekeeper’s Arms in Threshfield.

16th March 2025 – West of the Pennines

1st June – Flamborough

31st August – Hawes

The committee hope to arrange another coach holiday in early autumn and we are busy examining options.
