Overview

A clockwise, scenic circular from Tring Station that circuits the town of Tring. Start by following 'The Ridgeway' southwest with a steady ascent skirting Wigginton onto the wooded scarp of Tring Park, continuing to Hastoe. Then north to descend steeply to skirt the western fringe of Tring. A picnic stop will be near this part. The second half is mostly flat, following between lakes and water areas of Tringford, Startops and Marsworth Reservoirs to join the Grand Union Canal southeast back to the station. Hopefully, a mid-afternoon canal pub stop will be made for drinks/toilets at 'The Grand Junction' Pub after 8.5mls. A good variety of scenic views and bird life on the lakes.
