Our walk last autumn with our friends from the London Blind Ramblers to Perivale Wood was so much appreciated that we are delighted to have been offered another visit when hopefully the bluebells will be in full bloom. Numbers are limited to protect this special ancient wood so booking is required. Priority will be given to people offering to assist one of our visually impaired guests.
In the morning we will have a gentle walk along the Grand Union Canal to Horsenden Farm where we will have our picnic lunch. There are benches, tables and toilets available. Then a short walk to Perivale Wood where we will spend the afternoon enjoying this special place and hearing about the conservation work of the Selborne Society. Tea and cakes will be provided at the Bluebell Centre. A small donation to support the conservation work would be appreciated.
From there it is a short walk to Perivale Underground station (Central Line) or there are frequent buses to Ealing Broadway (Elizabeth, Central and District Lines).
