Overview

A walk from Six Bells, stopping at the beginning to view Guardian, a memorial commemorating the 1960 Six Bells Colliery disaster. We will then climb through woodland approximetely 350m up onto Mynydd Llanhilleth before taking the open mountain road and tracks through heather with views across the surrounding valleys and Bristol Channel. After a lunch break we descend and follow paths along the valley side overlooking Cwmtillery.  

Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.

The informal car park is located off Six Bells Road, which can be reached from the A467 Aberbeeg Road, 1km north of Aberbeeg.
