Walk from the car park on field paths to join the North Cheshire Way at Platt Wood then via Disley and Stanley Hall to Strines. Over Mellor Golf Club and past Linnet Clough Activity Centre to the Roman Lakes and on to Ridge End before joining the Macclesfield Canal tow path for the return to Middlewood. Risk assessment: Care crossing A6 in Disley. Livestock in fields.
