This walk is a bit of a climb from Hallglen but we shall go at a nice easy pace. We start by walking by the canal then cross over and up to Shieldhill . As we approach California the going tends to become quite muddy but the surroundings will make it worthwhile .
All being well with the weather we will see glorious views across the Forth Valley . There are no stiles or gates to climb over but most likely some muddy sections . There are no toilets on the walk .
We will meet on Glenburn Road , Hallglen , Falkirk, parking on the road . Just opposite the path to Shieldhill which leads to the canal .
