Meet Macclesfield forest visitor centre near Trentabank car park SK11 0NS.
10am 8 miles moderate walk with 1750 ft ascent ECR planner Car park is £4.75 for day cash only, but there is plenty of free parking available nearby in marked bays in road. Toilets available here. Mixture of good tracks, certain amount of mud/water, quite a few steps, 2 ladder stiles and 2 small streams to cross. We walk up through the forest to Forest Chapel, Charity lane back into forest stop here for coffee. Pass a small stone building with memorial to Walter Whiston Bullock who used to live here. Cross Hacked Way lane and fields to Warrilowhead farm to Walker barn, Cross A537 Gulshaw hollow, Hordern farm, Gritstone way to Teggs nose where we have lunch, toilets available. Continue on the Gritstone way to Langley reservoirs and water treatment works back to the forest Bring packed lunch, no dogs please
