We are the Pontypool Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A linear walk for a change, returning via train back to the start! Leaving the Co-op car park we join the Trevithick Trail to Troedyrhiw. Traversing the town to cross over the River Taff before walking alongside the river to reach the memorial garden at Aberfan. We then follow a short section of the Taff Trail before descending back to cross over the river to return to the Treviithick Trail passing Pont y Gwaith on the way to Quakers Yard station. Trains then depart every 30 minutes for a 14 minute journey back to the start.

Note that this walk is classed as "circular" because the train journey will bring us back to the start.
