Overview

We will be walking past the Great House and along a permissive path leading to Farringdon on the same paths that Jane Austen would have walked.  Continuing on part of the St.Swithun's way, on stony paths and a disused railway track that used to run on the Meon Valley Line from Alton to Fareham.  There are two roads to cross and one set of steps down, with no handrail, so we will need to take care.  There is just one stile.
