7 miles with one sustained ascent to the trig point at Weets Hill. Starting in Barnoldswick (now in Lancashire but part of Yorkshire until 1974), the footpath climbs steadily on to the moor where we join the Pendle Way. At this point (weather permitting!) we should see wide views over Barnoldswick and the countryside of West Craven. After reaching the top of Weets Hill, we join a quiet lane and cross back over the moor on the Pennine Bridleway, with views to East Lancashire and beyond. We leave the moor and pass through a couple of fields to the village of Salterforth, where we join the towpath at the Leeds Liverpool Canal, which leads us back into Barnoldswick.
