This is easier version of walk 8 from the "Lower Wye Rambles" book, and offers great views over the River Wye. From the start point, it heads north to Cleddon, before passing across the top of Cleddon Falls and then heading along the edge of the Wye valley to Pen-y-Fan (not that Pen-y-Fan), where we loop down and climb quite steeply back up through Manor Woods and return via Cleddon Hall to the start point.
Bring a packed lunch
Whitestone Forest Car Park. If coming from Chepstow take the road signposted Catbrook adjacent to the Wye Valley Hotel on the A466 in Tintern. After 1.5 miles give way at a junction. The car park entrance is directly opposite.
