Overview

A leisurely walk through the Bedfordshire countryside to the beautiful Wrest House and Gardens where we spend the rest of the afternoon. At Wrest Park the group will be free to explore the house and extensive gardens including the French and Italian Parterres, Chinese temple and bridge, Archer Pavilion, Bowling Green House, Orangery, Cafe etc. Picnic and pub stop (refreshments only) en route.

We return to Flitwick (or Luton) train station by bus. Wrest Park is free for English Heritage & National Art Pass, else adult entry £17.20, over 65’s £15.

Train: Thameslink dep London St Pancras 10:06 (London Bridge 9:51, Farringdon 10.01). Ticket: Off-peak day return to Flitwick.
